Careers: Associates

Whilst our permanent staff have a broad knowledge of technology and business in our chosen markets, we often need to engage consultants with particular skills. We maintain a database of experienced Associates who are invited to join our team for specific projects while retaining their independence and flexibility.

We are looking to extend our capability and availability, and to this end wish to increase the number of Associates identified with Genfosys. As well as significant general software engineering experience, Associates often specialise in one or more of the areas listed below.

Technical knowledge.

  • Technical and Software Architecture;
  • Intranet, Extranet and Internet design;
  • Messaging systems;
  • Security (including active security, firewalls, IDS, public key cryptography);
  • Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture;
  • Object Oriented Software Engineering;
  • Component Based Software Engineering;
  • Database systems, Object Relational Mapping;
  • Architectural and Design patterns;
  • Document Image Processing.
  • E-commerce and e-business;
  • Enterprise Application Integration EAI;
  • Workflow applications;
  • Distributed systems, .Net framework, J2EE.

Key methodologies.

Consultants with specific knowledge and experience in the key standards and techniques used within our client organizations are particularly welcome to apply. We need Associates who are familiar, for example, with software process improvements, process engineering using RUP, software metrics, software project estimation, requirements engineering, enterprise architectures modelling, project management, domain engineering, component based and service oriented architectures, UML (systems analysis and design), and rapid application development approaches.
